Baume & Mercier releases a new movement exclusive to the brand. Named the Baumatic, this exciting new calibre offers an impressive five-day power reserve and silicon components like the balance wheel, escapement, and hairspring.
Not only does this make it more precise and efficient, the watch is also much more resistant to magnetic fields. Well protected between 60 and 1,500 Gauss, this timepiece is equipped with the Twin Spir Technology that allows it to hit a -4/+6 seconds per day accuracy, which is perfectly in line with COSC regulations.
Furthermore, the company guarantees the watch for up to five years – generous, compared to the industry standard which is two years. The 40mm stainless steel timepiece measures 10.3mm in height and have a porcelain fine finish. Its strap is also self-interchangeable and priced between CHF2,300 to CHF2,900 is a solid value buy for the budding watch collector.
