After blessing fashion lovers everywhere with an exclusive collaboration with Gucci last year, Mr Porter is at it again. On 25 April 2018, Prada will drop its first-ever menswear collaboration with an online retailer on Mr Porter. The Mr Porter x Prada capsule collection is set to be a 32-piece collection (just a few pieces short of the 43-piece Gucci x Mr Porter collaboration last year) based around the idea of retro bowling fits of the ’50s and ‘80s.
There’s not that much information surrounding Mr Porter x Prada for now. But what we can tell you is that the bulk of the collection will be ready-to-wear (cardigans and blouson jackets included) and shoes. Expect camp-collar shirts in Hawaiian prints (like the one pictured), madras and gingham checks, as well as pop-cartoon prints that will probably be a spin on Prada’s existing spring/summer 2018 prints. There will also be two printed T-shirts branded with a bowling-themed Prada logo; we're guessing these would probably be the first few pieces to sell out. For shoes, the range will run the gamut from loafers to cap-toe sneakers.
Excited yet? Be sure to get on the Mr Porter site or the app on 25 April 2018. We’d recommend checking in around 2pm Singapore time to get first dibs. And if you haven’t heard, Mr Porter has just recently started bringing in new pieces every Monday, Wednesday and Friday too. Hell, yes.
