What do pro athletes across all sports have in common? The best ink deals with brands and fronting advertising campaigns. For Singaporean-born Joseph Schooling, his conclusion in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Swimming and Diving Championships yesterday morning, marked the start of his professional swimming career (yes, he has only just turned pro), as well as his ambassadorship with luxury German brand BOSS.
“To succeed, you have to be committed in what you do. I take immense pride in all that I do and I give it my all. It is a tremendous honour to be part of such an iconic brand. Being a BOSS brand ambassador is significant to me because the brand’s focus on quality and authenticity resonates with me on a personal level,” says Schooling in a press statement.
Schooling joins other famous male personalities—the likes of Chris Hemsworth, James Marsden and Lewis Hamilton—who have fronted campaigns for HUGO BOSS, but he will be the first-ever Singaporean to do so.
HUGO BOSS will be releasing a series of video clips featuring its new brand ambassador, leading up to the final reveal on 25 May 2018, during the reopening gala of the BOSS store at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
Joseph Schooling will not just be the new face of BOSS. The professional swimmer has also collaborated with BOSS on a capsule collection (we’re guessing swimwear) that will be released exclusively in BOSS stores across Singapore from 25 May 2018 onwards.
Watch this space as more information regarding the capsule collection as well as the video clips of Joseph Schooling in BOSS are released.
