It's time to end all speculations to this year's H&M designer collaborator. London-based label Erdem is taking the baton from Kenzo to release a capsule collection with the high-street brand.

Erdem is the namesake label of Canadian-born designer Erdem Moralıoğlu and this collaboration sees the designer "trying out a few things he hasn't done before,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s creative advisor. One of the 'few things' we definitely know is menswear as Moralıoğlu is primarily a womenswear designer for his 12-year-old label.

Moulin Rouge and The Great Gatsby director Baz Luhrmann joins the union by producing a mini-movie for the Erdem x H&M launch, with a cast and a script that he has written.

What's there to expect from this collection? From the looks of the teaser video, a romantic and ethereal concept seems to be the direction and this aesthetic is unmistakably Erdem. Moralıoğlu will also reinterpret the design themes from some of his most celebrated collections. Stay tuned for more updates on this collaboration.

Erdem x H&M will be available on 2 November 2017 in 22 countries.
