Chinese New Year and National Day–the two yearly occasions in a Singaporean’s life where we begrudgingly try our best to appear festive by wearing red. In most cases, it’s not the idea of having to wear red that’s the issue but rather, wearing it well. And let’s face it, when left to our own devices, it’s probably not a colour that takes up major real estate in our wardrobes.
