[Update:] Louis Vuitton x Supreme's Release Details Are Finally Revealed
A one-of-a-kind collaboration between cult skate label Supreme and high fashion label Louis Vuitton.
[Update:] According to reports, there seems to be a mass cancellation of pop-up stores in the US for the highly anticipated collection. Although we've scant details on this Friday's (14 July 2017) drop, word has it that Singapore won't be affected and queue numbers will be given out at 7 am tomorrow (13 July 2017) morning. Stay tuned for more updates.
During the Fall/Winter 2017 fashion presentation in Paris, the men's artistic director for Louis Vuitton, Kim Jones, surprised the fashion world by sending models down the runway in jackets, messenger bags and trunks that were emblazoned with Supreme's iconic red box logo. The collection drew both praise and criticism from the fashion world, and it became one of the most talked about collections for that season.
Established in 1994, New York-based skateboard label Supreme gained a global cult following over the years for their highly-coveted pieces which are produced in extremely small quantities. Apart from their seasonal collections, Supreme has worked with artists and musicians such as Damien Hirst, George Condo, Lady Gaga and even Michael Jackson. On the fashion spectrum, the label has joined forces Comme des Garcons, Nike and Stone Island. With a long list of collaborators under their belt, it was only a matter of time before Louis Vuitton x Supreme happened.
Taking to his Instagram yesterday, Kim Jones has finally released details on the highly-anticipated collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Supreme—set for a worldwide release on 30 June 2017. With pop-up locations worldwide, diehard fans of both labels can have a chance to purchase exclusive pieces from the collaboration. The pop-ups in Beijing, South Korea, London and Sydney are slated to carry every single piece from the Louis Vuitton x Supreme collection.
As for Singapore, the collaboration will only be released at Louis Vuitton's ION outlet on 14 July 2017. Be on standby as an overnight queue will be expected.
