The words ‘regal’ and ‘majestic’ comes to mind when Balmain’s first Southeast Asian standalone store comes into vision. So why did a château spring up in this cosmopolitan city?

Located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, this store takes inspiration from the historic Parisian flagship at 44 rue Francois 1ER and follows a clean, modernised and classic 20th century French aesthetic – white walls moulded with geometric and elaborate ceiling details, Versailles parquet flooring, gold accents, a marble display in the centre, and 40s-era French design furnishings.

Step past the entrance and turn your attention to the striking mirrored shelvings that display the brand’s accessories in full glory. Balmain has set its sight on the lucrative accessories market and began a decisive push by working on the re-launch of their accessories line and poring over the house archives for inspiration, from a range of key signature bags, shoes and accessories for both sexes. Of course, an assortment of Women’s and Men’s ready-to-wear pieces from the label’s seasonal collections will also be available.

For F/W2017, Balmain Homme explores the spirit and style of the hardest of the ‘80s hard rockers—men who paired hyper-masculine, consistently challenged accepted standards and fluidly crossed over the barriers of outdated gender norms, while retaining both the historic Balmain DNA and today’s spirit of youth, freedom and rebellion

The collection also showcases the atelier’s prowess from its intricate embroideries, one-of-a-kind constructions and remarkable leatherwork, evident in the new creations from this season’s garments and accessories collection.

Balmain's first Southeast Asia standalone store is located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 2 Bayfront Avenue, #B1-11, Singapore 018972
