Paula’s was to Ibiza what the Haight-Ashbury was to the Hippies—an epicenter of fashion, music, art and fun, all mixed in with a healthy dose of glamour. The iconic boutique that sprung up at the heart of the old Ibiza town on the Balearic island was a cultural phenomenon in the 1980s-90s, often frequented by intellectuals and artists alike. Known for its bohemian nature-inspired prints and flower-filled interior, the extravagant shows put on by its founders also drew the stylish jet-set to its colourful interiors.

Jonathan Anderson, Loewe’s creative director, was inspired by his early, yet indelible, impressions of Paula’s, which were formed during his childhood visits to Ibiza. Armin Heinemann, Paula’s German-born co-founder, provided a selection of original prints from the archive, along with garment designs adapted from Paula’s best-selling pieces for this exclusive S/S17 collection.

And, although we’re not so inclined to fit into the dresses anytime soon, the special LOEWE X M/M (Paris) limited-edition publication that celebrates this collection—part of an ongoing series—featuring images shot by Jamie Hawkesworth at Heinemann’s farmhouse and apartment in Ibiza, sounds like a collectible in the making. And certainly worthy of some prime coffee table space.

The LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza collection will be available at Casa Loewe Paragon from the first week of May 2017 and at
