We’ve entered the second half of the year, but since this issue will be running for an entire year, we’re giving you details on two travel experiences that you can fit into your schedule.
In March 2018, Belmond is launching three Grand Suites on board their Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, each named after and inspired by a city through which the train will travel: Paris, Venice, and Istanbul. Private in-suite dining with free-flowing champagne whilst being well taken care of by a personal cabin steward will set you back SGD9,724 for a night’s journey from London to Venice.
For something a little closer on the calendar, there’s a grand ball to look forward to. Literally The Grand Ball, it’ll run from November 2 to 4, 2017 and consists of a journey aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and a two-night stay at the Belmond Hotel Cipriani. Once in Venice, you’ll need to look your masked ball best. The Belmond Hotel Cipriani will dress you in custom-made threads, after which you’ll be entertained by traditional Venetian music and aerial silk performances, fed a three-course dinner and plied with innumerable cocktails to keep you well-sluiced for the debauchery to follow on the dance floor. All this starts from SGD9,410 per person. Alas, murder mysteries can’t be guaranteed.
