You’ve questions so let’s address that huge elephant in the room: no, it doesn’t explode. At least, that’s what the good folks at Samsung have assured us.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has been put through the wringer, weighed and judged in an eight-point battery test that the Korean company has formulated. Then there are the X-rays and the barrage of tests like its durability, charging and discharging cycle. With that out of the way, let’s focus on the Note8’s other improvements. In a first, the model has a dual-camera feature with a 12MP wide-angle and 12MP telephoto lens.

It’s also furnished with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) that reduces blur when shooting in low-light conditions and a Live Focus feature, which lets you control the depth of field and bokeh effect before and after you take a photo. The Note8 has also set a new standard of display size—6.3IN to be exact—and the S Pen handles better now with a finer tip and improved pressure sensitivity, meaning you’ll start to prefer the stylus over your fat finger soon enough.

All that and you have the usual water- and dust-resistance, quick wireless charging and security features (we’re still not sold on unlocking your phone with face recognition though)—and this is how Samsung remains in the game.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 retails for SGD1,398 and comes in three colours: Midnight Black, Maple Gold and Orchid Grey. The Galaxy Note8 is available at all local telco operators, major consumer electronic stores, authorised retailers, Samsung Experience Stores and Lazada Singapore.
