You feel that heaviness in the air? The cloying, saccharine pull of roses and boxed chocolates. Pay heed. Run serpentine, it is the time when Cupid’s damnable arrows are loosed into the air; Valentine’s Day is upon us. So, what can you do to impress your date? For something less stressful, we recommend… a nice dinner. After all, the way to ones’ heart is through his or her stomach and by the end of the night, your heart will be pleasantly sated.
From ADRIFT's new menu: What's His Name
Dine at Chef David Myers’ Adrift, where the courses will carry you along its culinary journey. Start with a libation to loosen the lips and inhibitions. We recommend Diamonds and Pearls, which consists of Porter’s gin, lillet blanc, blackberry and just a hint of coconut. Now we move to the main course—glazed ox tongue, which doesn’t sound appetising but the meal is made with a slow braised before its barbecued and slathered in soy sauce and sudachi apples. Finally, end the evening with sweets like the White Sesame Chocolate, a milk sorbet and black sesame praline. Along with your meal, partake in The Esquire Guide For Valentine’s Day, a tie-up with Adrift. Last year, we had people standing on the bar counter and for our second outing, entrants can expect free flow of cocktails or tear it up on the floor or freeze that moment with a photo booth. There will also be an award for the best dressed.
Tickets are priced at $98++ per person and they can be purchased by contacting ADRIFT directly at 6688 5657. We’ll see you then.
Chef David Myers’ Adrift is located at Marina Bay Sands, Hotel Tower 2, 10 Bayfront Avenue. And The Esquire Guide For Valentine’s Day will occur on 14 February and runs from 7pm to 2am.
