The End Of Chocolate? Not When Marou Is Around

You'll never be deprived of cacao.

Remember that whole hullaballoo about the end of chocolate due to the shortage of cacao? Well, chocolate maker, Marou, isn’t concerned about that thanks to its supply from Vietnam. Carefully sourced and weighed, the beans come from different Vietnamese provinces like the nutty and earthy profile from Dak Lak or the strain from Dong Nai that gives off “the sweet and sour flavours of a tropical fruit parfait”.

Since last year, Marou’s five classic bars—Arabica, Candied Chilli, Caramelised Nibs, Popped Rice Crunch, Cashew & Praline—have ventured to our fair shores; so, if the threat of a cacao shortage were to loom large, you might as well taste the best before they are all gone.

The 24G Marou Chocolate Bars retail for SGD5.50 each and are available at the Grand Hyatt, Chye Seng Huat Hardware and MEMO Café, to name a few.
