She does more than make people beautiful, she can tell a mean joke too

The joke: A vampire enters a bar and asks the bartender for a mug of hot water. “Why do you want water when you can have cold blood?” the bartender asks. “Oh,” says the vampire, “I just wanna make some tea.”
Glance at her tattoos and you might feel you already have Alex T (“T” represents her sur-name, and she prefers to be known by the letter) pegged. Wrong.
Her taste in films is an acquired palate. She cites the 1978 film I Spit on Your Grave as her favourite grindhouse flick. If you think the exploitation, or the revenge angle, or the less-than-perfect script is a draw for her, you’ll be mistaken. “It’s the slow pace,” T explains. “Older movies take their time and you have a real sense of suspense that’s not aided by music. They go through the process, drawing you in.”
Other similar gore-filled movies sometimes get to her, but she approaches them from a logical standpoint. See, as a matter of transparency, T sometimes does the make-up for our photo shoots, but she is no stranger to applying monster make-up for other projects.
Privy to the behind-the-scenes action, and how ridiculous the whole special effects industry can be, “at the end of the day, you realise that it’s fake,” T says simply. Asked to choose between the glamour and the grotesque, she refuses to answer, saying that each is different and unique in its own way. But if given the option, when it comes to the latter, T would prefer to apply the creature cosmetics on herself.
“With all the glue and the prostheses, at least I’ll be ripping out my own eyebrows, not someone else’s,” T says, before laughing. A little pain for the pleasure of her company is a fair price to pay.
