The Iconic Patek Philippe Nautilus Is Returning With Two New Editions

To celebrate the anniversary of one of its most popular and memorable watches, Patek Philippe is releasing two new editions of the Nautilus.

Introduced in 1976 as the first sports watch in the Swiss brand's 137-year history, the Nautilus' heavy steel build and distinctive design quickly became a classic, marking the latest announcement as big news for watch fans.

Limited to just 2,000 timepieces in total, The 5711/1P three-hand model (700 to be released) and 5976/1G (1,300 to be released) chronograph both come embossed with "1976-40-2016" on their respective dials, alongside hour markers set with princess-cut and baguette diamonds. 

The 5711/1P has a 40mm platinum case and in-house 24 S C movement with a 45-hour power reserve, while the 5976/1G uses a 44mm white gold case and features a caliber CH 28-520 C movement with a 55-hour power reserve.

If you're looking to buy into a part of horological history, then you're going to need to have some spare change in the bank, as the 5976/1G comes in at GBP69,960, while the 5711/1P reaches GBP88,960.
