Stylish Men Of Instagram: Frank Muytjens

J.Crew’s menswear director shows us that you don’t need to be loud to make a statement.

When it comes to fashion, you always start with the staples, like the ones that J.Crew is known for (why aren’t they available in Singapore yet boogles my mind)—the chambray shirts, denim jeans, white T-Shirts, pullovers and a well-fitted suit. Surely every man owns some combination of the above, if not all.

What is truly impressive is how Dutch-born, J.Crew menswear director Frank Muytjens (@fmuytjens) manages to combine these low-key staples into a well-curated outfit. The trick is to pay attention to the cut and fabric of each of the individual pieces. Pairing different pieces with textures helps break the monotony, something that turns seemingly ordinary outifts into something remarkable.

Of course, having a killer beard to finish off the look doesn't hurt.
