Featured in the Givenchy collections since 2006, denim is now given greater prominence for S/S16 and Pre-fall. The Pre-fall Givenchy denim array especially is comprised of the House’s iconic pieces from its past collections: the masculine jacket and its signature symbols such as studs and stars.

The latter is inspired by the 90s and by denim in American culture, especially with reference to the sturdy workwear that paralleled the popular rise of denim in mainstream culture.

Presented as a head-to-toe look, the Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci denim collection focuses on a destroyed/distressed texture, with overdyed shirts and a pair of dungarees inspired by the mechanic overalls of the motoring era but carefully hand-distressed for a time-worn look.

A classic piece through the seasons, cropped denim jackets are especially covetable—blending the perfect mix of rugged style with distinct hardware accents. Think of this as a teaser of whats to come.
