The Most Manly Stars Of The Silver Screen Show Us How To Dress For The Red Carpet
Superman and Rambo actors reveal stylish looks on the red carpet.
The stars are out in full force for the 88thAcademy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. In one corner we have the man of steel himself, Henry Cavill, in his bespoke black velvet shawl lapel cocktail jacket, and evening trousers, white cotton Marcella evening shirt, velvet bowtie, black and gold ‘need and thread’ cufflinks, dress studs and spiffy leather oxford lace up shoes, all by British label dunhill. Though the brand might have just parted ways with John Ray, its creative director of three years—it showed that it owned the British dapper look down to a T with Cavill's custom ensemble.
In the other corner, veteran action-star actor Sylvester Stallone wore Yves Saint Laurent Couture by Hedi Slimane, sporting an iconic smoking suit in the house's signature Grain de Poudre fabric (though it would have been a fitting tribute to the Rambo star if he had spotted on of Slimane's badass bandanas as well). So that's what heroes wear off-screen, and what do you know, there was nary a cape in sight.
