Fresh from their Mandarin Gallery pop-up at Orchard Road, the good folks at Surrender have been hard at work. Their latest project is a fully stocked pop-up of Milan-based fashion brand Marcelo Burlon County of Milan. Burlon, the Argentinian-born creative and designer of his eponymous line, is a jet-setting, modern renaissance man who has chosen Milan as his base. Running the gamut from being a photographer, DJ, nightlife wizard, cultural visionary and music-maker, the man is also a seasoned designer.

Burlon debuted his first collection in 2012 and Surrender’s pop-up will stock his full S/S17 collection, which has been described in their recent release as “an ode to noise that ignites unstoppable waves of change”. Expect the style equivalent of a loud sonic trip across ninja iconography, interspersed with jarring animal-inspired imagery that mixes primitive lines with outer space futurism. But if that’s not hitting home, then think of it as the perfect club-to-street wear for guys who just want to have fun.

The Marcelo Burlon POP-UP store will run from now to April 2017 at Mandarin Gallery
, 333A Orchard Road, #02-16.
