If you’re headed over to BKK this week, take some time out to check-in to the spanking new Louis Vuitton Men’s pop-up at Siam Paragon. Open from the 6 February till 14 February 2016, the collaborative space is located on the ground floor of the Siam Paragon and will premiere a selection of pieces from Louis Vuitton’s S/S16 show collection. Which is especially relevant as Men’s Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton, Kim Jones, drew on South East Asian inspirations from Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia for this collection. Jones himself was there to celebrate the opening of the space, along with prominent personalities and celebs like Weir Sukkolawat, Ken Phupoom, Mario Maurer, Peach Pachara Chirathivat and Pao Varit.

“In this collection we are using many ideas and techniques from South East Asia, from Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. At the same time, we wanted to look at how these styles share so much globally; how the traditional dress of the Lahu tribe in Thailand for example, looks so much like contemporary sportswear,” says Kim Jones, the Men’s Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton.

Be sure to suss out its most iconic piece: the Souvenir jacket incorporating the black leopard. If you’re lucky, you might even be able to get your hands on one of the five limited-edition Souvenir Jackets designed especially for Jones for the pop-up, which are available only in Bangkok.
