Saint Laurent

A brand that is so hot now, its Creative Director can suddenly decide to shift his AW16/17 menswear  show in LA a week before it was due to show in Paris. Hedi Slimane might be surprising, but his bomber jacket is a classic piece that's too cool for school. Sleek, with luxe detailing like paneled leather design elements, its timeless style makes it a spot-on piece to start with.

Khaki cotton garberdine bomber

Alexandre Mattiussi, the Owner/Designer of French label Ami, is one of the hottest menswear designers to watch right now. It’s not that he’s doing anything extraordinarily attention-grabbing with his shows, instead, he lets the effortless ease of his extremely wearable clothes do most of the enunciation. Sharp but not too fussy, his cropped zip-front jacket is a perfect case in point. It’s chic enough to throw over a summer suit, yet slips over jeans and a tee just as easy.

Bottega Veneta
Khaki green cotton military jacket

Because military style is a stalwart of menswear, this fine example from Tomas Maier of Bottega Veneta has already earned its lived-in softness. Not to mention the masterfully hand-worked dimensional colour fade, so you can rock the trend without looking like a new recruit.
