A San Francisco original, Timbuk2 was founded 25 years ago by bike messenger Rob Honeycutt in a garage in the city’s Mission District. Fast forward to the present and take a peek at their new bag customisation service, available in Singapore now.

For the picky few, start by selecting your preferred combination via the store’s online custom bag builder, which is linked directly to the San Francisco factory. Once orders are confirmed, production will commence and the final piece is then shipped from the US to Singapore, so you can swing by to pick it up.

There are 10 steps when it comes to the service, starting with bag style, size, fabrics and colours. The fastidious can also select different colours for binding, logo and lining, as well as the option of slash pockets to help with compartmentalising.

Nifty fabrics such as Cordura Nylon, Water Resistant and Classic & Canvas will give you options aplenty, while specialty and reflective materials are also offered. With prices starting from SGD79 for a small bag and a turnaround time of between 10 and 12 days, it’s shopping made simple.

Timbuk2 is available at Bugis Junction L3 and Mandarin Gallery L2.
