If you haven't already made Valentine's Day plans, you might want to put some Netflix and chill on the schedule.
According to a survey conducted by Netflix, 58 percent of people say they bond with their significant other over the streaming media giant's shows and movies. The majority (72 percent) also said they prefer staying in and watching Netflix with their partner on a casual date night.
The network plays a significant role in the beginning stages of a relationship, too: 27 percent said having favorite shows in common ("show compatibility") is important. And a quarter of respondents admitted to finding people more attractive based on the shows they watch, prompting Netflix marketing gurus to coin the term "show goggles."
Netflix may be getting more expensive—but can your relationship afford to go without it?
