The joys of a morning shower are numerous and undisputed: it wakes you up, gives you time to contemplate the grinding chores ahead of you and, handily, is also quite good at keeping you clean.

But did you know showering at night is also beneficial, because it helps put you to sleep?

According to a study by the Montefiore Medical Centre in New York, warming your body up can help induce shut eye – providing you leave enough time for your body to cool down again afterwards.
