20 years of spandex and grappling with greased-up men.

Now the world's highest paid actor, there was once a time where Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was just Rocky Maiva, a young wrestler with a dodgy haircut and a dream. A dream to play fight in spandex pants while slathered in baby oil for a living... a dream that he realised.

Now nearly 20 years on, Dwayne took some time out to reflect on his first ever fight in the WWE, which happened to be in front of 22,000 at New York's iconic Madison Square and set him on the way to muscle-bound superstardom.

"There's an old saying in show business." Big Dwayne muses: "If you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere. And my very first night in New York, they embraced me like a son. Since then I have nothing but gratitude and love for New York City and the WWE."

Powerful words, Dwayne.
