DC Is Reshooting Suicide Squad Scenes To Make Them Funnier

People really didn't like Batman v Superman's broodiness.

The rumour mill is abuzz that Suicide Squad director David Ayer is currently reshooting scenes–but why?

Reshoots are common practice in the movie industry, and according to Birth.Movies.Death, it's apparently down to Warner's desire to lighten the film's overall tone after the critical slamming of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The report claims that the idea behind spending big on the reshoots is to bring in more humour after the positive reception to trailers, but rest assured that it's apparently not going to become a full-blown comedy.

The first Suicide Squad trailer doesn't suggest that the movie will be too dark or serious, as it's packed full of one-liners from characters like Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and Deadshot (Will Smith).

But alas, quips like Deadshot's line "What is this, cheerleading tryouts?" are apparently part of the problem, with an insider claiming that "every joke in the movie is in that trailer."
