The Chickening is a psychotic masterpiece remix of The Shining
You must watch this

It's hard to watch Stanley Kubrick's 1980 horror classic The Shining without thinking it would work as a film about a man and his family going to live on a chicken-themed resort inhabited by aliens. So obvious!
Thankfully, directors Nick DenBoer and Davy Force have finally remixed The Shining into that with this five-minute short film, The Chickening.
The five-minute short, which splices together footage of the original with computer-animated effects and new actors, has been shown at a number of festivals including Sundance this week, and has finally made it onto the Internet.
It's so absurd that it's impossible to explain little Danny Torrance turned into an East Coast mobster with a beard, Tony the finger, the aliens, and really the entire chicken theme in general.
For a point of comedic reference, think of the brilliant surrealist humor that made Too Many Cooks a viral phenomenon.
