"Of course I can't admit what I really meant." Oil on panel by Tomona Matsukawa, 2014. Collection of Ken Tan.

A young girl, staring up at the sky greets you in a blur. Set in the middle of the exhibition, the arresting painting is one of 12 pieces on display at Lewin Terrace.

They are a selection of paintings, photographs and digital works of Japanese artists collected by Singaporeans, and of Singaporean artists collected by Japanese collectors.

Warehouse Terrada, a luxe Japanese storehouse of fine artwork, together with Singaporean art handler and storage provider Helu-Trans, hosts this art exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of Japanese and Singaporean diplomatic relations.

While it's Art Week with many interesting exhibitions to attend the whole island-over, you still gotta eat. Sumptuous lunch sets at Lewin Terrace have you covered so after you've fed your mind and soul with the art, it's time to feed your gut with its Japanese-French fusion fare.
