Japan Is Creating An Invisible Train

And it'll be here sooner than you think.

Not content with having some of the fastest trains on earth, now Japan wants to make them invisible.

Architect Kazuyo Sejima has designed a train with a reflective exterior so it blends in with the surroundings.

"The limited express travels in a variety of different sceneries, from the mountains of Chichibu to the middle of Tokyo, and I thought it would be good if the train could gently co-exist with this variety of scenery" Sejima said.

It marks the 100 year anniversary of the Red Arrow commuter train service and will use semi-transparent and mirrored panels.

The train will debut in Tokyo and is set to be rolled out in 2018. Though you might not spot it.
