A Short Review: We're Pretty Cool With The iPhone 7

Let’s forget about the whole “lack-of-aphone- jack” issue for now and instead focus on the improvements, shall we? It’s waterproof, yes. Dustproof too. Improved haptic features. While Apple’s proprietary camera is still top-shelf quality, it finally manages to fall in line with its competitors with the inclusion of an optical image stabilisation (buh-bye Bigfoot images) and rear dual cameras.
The iPhone 7 Plus also has 2x zoom capability. These should be attractive to burgeoning photogs who are saving up for a proper camera: a larger 1080P resolution display, a longer battery life compared to last year’s model, extra RAM, and this new depth-of-field feature that gives you that “bokeh” effect—a focused foreground with a blurry background. At the time of writing, it’s still in the beta stages but holds up pretty well as it is.
The Apple iPhone 7 comes in three models— 32GB, 128GB and 256GB—and retails for SGD1,248, SGD1,418 and SGD1,588 respectively. It is available from official retailers as well as the official Apple website.
