Most of us will never get to go into space, so here's the next best thing: stunning 4K footage of Earth filmed from the International Space Station (ISS). NASA posted the footage to its YouTube channel

The agency has uploaded 4K space footage before, but most of it has focused on experiments within the space station itself. Now you can see our planet floating through space at eye-popping high resolution.

If you're less than bowled over, you might not be viewing it in its highest possible resolution. Hit up the settings icon in the bottom right corner of the window to tweak the resolution. Some browsers don't support the 4K format, so switch to Google Chrome if you're having trouble. You'll need a monitor that's capable of displaying in 4K too—that's a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. Then, enjoy.

You might even gain the "overview effect" that astronauts report. This is when, after seeing the world from space, your perspective on life shifts to being more global, more people-oriented, and more driven to change the state of the planet.
