Monti Takes Over Catalunya's Premises
Hello Italian restaurant. Farewell, Spanish restaurant.

Spanish joint Catalunya is gone and the Italians have taken over. Well, an Italian restaurant at least. As the marketing lore goes, Monti is a mysterious Italian transplant who’s fallen in love with Singapore and has decided to bring a slice of home with him here.
You get flavours that span the whole boot, from Piedmont to Sicily. A risotto creamed in a Parmesan wheel seems to be the prevailing winner among diners, but we prefer the Autunnale (SGD42++), a homemade tagliatelle served with wild mushrooms and shaved black truffle. The view is spectacular in the evening, as the Marina Bay Sands light show is right in front of you—but without the cheesy commentary.
Monti is at 82 Collyer Quay. Reservations can be made through 6535 0724.
